437. Vet in Maryland/Hi neighbor! From: Linda 437.1. CommentsGreetings from across the water. Taylor Island? You never know who you'll find or where! I live somewhat North of Calvert Cliffs, probably closer to Chesapeake Beach, north of there. My friend who uses Dr. Forney lives in DC in Georgtown. Her piggy was three months old and weighed barely 11 pounds. She used all her energy staying alive, rather than growing. She had an intestinal blockage, and others suggesed they put her down as "not viable." Dr. Forney never gave up. Ultimately, he operated on the intestines because she had gone toxic and wouldn't have lasted the hour. I am delighted to report that this little girl now weighs about 55-60 pounds, and just had her first birthday. A real miracle girl. On another note, here in Calvert County we have a small potbellied pig "network." Very informal, but we have a little show/display of our piggies at the county fair. A one day event only. If you are interested in this in the fall, we would welcome your participation. Email me for particulars if you are interested. Hope you make out ok with the vet. Happy Easter! Linda |
