I have hardwood floors throughout my whole house. I have three dogs, three kids, three cats, and one potbellied pig's that come in and out the dog door as she pleases. She do fine with the hardwood. I have throw rugs scattered around to wipe off hooves and paws. They realy keep the house allot cleaner. I just shake they out daily when I sweep. I taught Baby to walk on the hardwood slowly by placing rugs everywhere, and gradually removing one at a time. She did great.
