When I first brought Baby (my potbellied pig) home I introduced my dogs to her with them on a leash, then I did not leave them in the yard together for about six months without me out there with them. My dogs are not aggresive at all. So I knew Baby would be ok. I have had Baby for about one year now, and they do not sleep together, but they do get long. They do listen to each other, like when the dogs growl about something, baby backs off and leaves them alone. When baby is running in the yard my dogs do not chase. That is the biggest thing I would be concerned about. My dogs just ignor baby. She does snap at them if they get to close to her food bowl while she is eating, or when she is in heat. And my dogs listen to her and back off. Good luck in getting your potbellied pig. |
