please check out the nappa site where there are shelters referenced. also, contact www.minipigs.org and they may be able to help you too. a lot of the shelters work together to transport piggies, so even if you aren't close to a shelter, they may be able to meet you somewhere with the piggy. but, please, do get your piggy from a shelter. there are sooooo many little pigs that get dumped by ignorant owners. and please do your homework on what owning a potbellied pig is all about. as for stairs, they do climb stairs but if the stairs are slippery (i.e., hardwood), they may not bc it's too difficult for them. if they don't just naturally climb the stairs (all 3 of mine do), you can coax them with treats.
