Commentsmy pig, Marty, is a 9 year old Vietnamese pot-bellied pig. but, i was wondering if trimming his hooves would help his arthritis. his hooves are long and curved upward, causing his feet to be pushed back. he doesn't seem to be sensitive when i touch his feet or legs, but he keeps tripping over them. i was also wondering the average ages for a healthy pig. the farrier said that it won't help his arthritis, and they're only trimmed for looks. it causes him great distress whenever he falls down. he sometimes has trouble getting back up on his feet. would someone please help me out, for Marty's sake. ~Becky Ryan~ |
