the key to potty training a pig the correct space. trying to potty train a pig in a large area is futile. you have to start small. i have a large dog pen, and this is what i use for about two to three weeks. i put the litter box (a normal size cat litter box) in the back with cedar chips or pine chips in it. and a blanket in the front, with food and water dishes next to the blanket. this small area forces the pig to go in the litter box as to avoid dirtying his bed. after a couple weeks, i put my pig in a larger area, approximately 4' x 6'. i used a small animal arena i purchased from petsmart.com for small animals. it is a hexagon shaped paneled wire play area. i put this in the corner of my kitchen. this arena in 24 inches high, and i step over and play inside with my pig. she loves it! after a couple more weeks, i opened it up and let her explore the kitchen. she will now go back into her pen arena, and dirty in her litter box. if she should have a mistake, back into the arena she will go, although she has had no mistakes yet!!! this plan works very good. go from small, to a little bigger, to a little bigger. take it in steps. and if a mistake occures, go backwards a step for a couple weeks, until the habit is formed. as the pig grows you will have to enlarge the little box. go to walmart or kmart and buy plastic storage boxes in the appropriate size. the taller the better. and cut down on side to let the pig climb in easy. if the sides are to high, a pig will be to lazy to walk inside, and will dirty right outside of it. i hope this helps and if you have any other questions please email me. patti
