13. Wearing a harness

I have a mini potbellied pig that is 4 years old. I tried over and over again when he was a baby to train him to wear a harness and was never successful. He would throw unbelieveable fits and I was told that stress like that was not healthy for him so I halted my efforts. I am paying for it now by not being able to do anything with him unless his belly gets the best of him and he gives in for a treat. My question is- Is it too late to try again? Will he learn now or is it a lost cause?

Another question- I work all day and my potbellied pig is left alone sometimes for the whole day until I get in. Are there any "toys" or anything that I can get for him to keep him entertained and content (besides another potbellied pig which is in consideration)?

Any advice would be appreciated.
