I have a potbellied pig that some one gave me as a babie that was attacked by dogs and the lady was affraid to keep her in her yard as she was not sure those dogs could not get to her again. I live on 6.50 acres of land but she stays in a 20x20 ft pen that is 6 foot tall. I let her out to walk around often and she will follow me everywhere I go on the property. All I have to do is say "Common pixie" and she is at my heals. I have 3 children and they can't pet her cause she runs. And anyone she has ever been around she runs from them. I am the only one she will follow. She has never been mean to anyone at my house and any neighbors that have had her wander to their house if I stepped inside to get something while she is outside lose. If she ever breaks out of her pen then the neighbors just call and say they have a visitor again. Do note though... if your neighbors have gardens... you want to make sure your pig does not get out of the pen! As for the mess she makes, if they are kept in a small confined area they will start going in just one corner area of the pen and it is easy to scoop up the poop and place on your yard plants for fertalizer. You will have yard plants still if you keep the pig confined most of the time in a small pen. My pig is no problem for me, she is sweet!

Hello all!

I was just wondering if pigs sweat the way humans do. Is there any truth to the cliche "sweating like a pig"?

If anyone could answer this question for me I would really appreciate it!
