I don't have a potbellied pig yet, but my husband and I are considering the possibility. I've been searching the internet looking for info on them and am intimidated by some things I've read. One site said that around 12 to 18 mons. old you can expect the pig to become aggressive to visitors in the home, and around 24 to 30 mons. expect them to turn on you! Does this usually happen? And if so, how do you get through it and remain the "head of the herd"? Can anyone recommend spedific books on dealing with behavioral problems? I don't want to end up like many well intended pig owners and have to give the animal away to some shelter. I want to know ahead of time what some of the problems are going to be and how to handle them, or to know if I shouldn't have a pet pig at all. Can anyone give me some firsthand advice? Thanks, Melissa
